Health and Wellness
At St. Helen Catholic School, we care for the whole child — spiritually, academically, emotionally, and physically. Our Health & Wellness program supports students so they can learn, grow, and thrive in a safe and nurturing environment.
Student Health Services
We work closely with families to support students’ physical health while they are at school.
Our health services include:
-
Monitoring student illness and injuries
-
Medication administration in accordance with school policy
-
Communication with families regarding health concerns
-
Support for students with documented medical needs
Health-related forms and required medical documentation are available in the Current Families portal.
If your child has specific medical needs, allergies, or health conditions, please notify the school office prior to the start of the school year.
Counseling & Student Support
Our counseling services support students’ social, emotional, and developmental growth. We recognize that academic success is closely connected to emotional well-being, and we strive to create a supportive environment where students feel safe, valued, and understood.
Our counselor provides:
-
Individual student support (as needed)
-
Age-appropriate guidance lessons
-
Social-emotional skill development
-
Support during times of transition
-
Collaboration with families and teachers
Counseling services are preventative and developmental in nature, helping students build resilience, responsibility, and healthy relationships.
If a family has concerns regarding a student’s emotional well-being, we encourage parents to contact the school directly so we can partner together in support.
Partnership with Families
Health and wellness is a shared responsibility between school and home. Clear communication between parents, teachers, and school staff ensures that students receive consistent care and guidance.
