Athletics

Athletics at St. Helen Catholic School are an extension of our mission to grow students in Wisdom, Age, and Grace. Through competitive sports, students develop discipline, teamwork, perseverance, and respect—virtues that shape both character and faith.

Our athletic program emphasizes sportsmanship, skill development, and healthy competition within a Christ-centered environment. Coaches guide students not only in athletic growth but also in integrity, responsibility, and leadership.

St. Helen offers a variety of competitive opportunities for eligible students, including:

  • Co-ed Soccer

  • Boys and Girls Basketball

  • Girls Volleyball

  • Co-ed Track

Several of our teams have earned championship titles, reflecting both strong coaching and student dedication.

Participation in athletics helps students build confidence, form lasting friendships, and represent St. Helen with pride both on and off the field.

Meet our Athletic Director

MJONES AD

I would like to welcome you to the St Helen Catholic School Athletic Web page. The staff at St Helen Catholic School is looking forward to another exciting year for 2026-2027. Teams have been working hard during the off-season and are now ready to reap the rewards of their labor.

It is important that we all remember we are a Catholic Community. We must work together to help our community and our kids be successful. Teachers, students, and parents must work together to keep the Saint Spirit flowing.

The philosophy of athletics at SHCS considers athletics to be an integral unit of the school’s educational program. Athletics provide experiences that will help the student-athlete develop physically, mentally, socially and emotionally.

Through the promotion of sportsmanship, ethics and integrity at all levels, the athletic program will instill pride, reinforce sound values, and enhance personal self-image. Through this philosophy the Athletic Department at SHCS will promote the image of the school and the community.

In closing, I would like for all who attend our games and tournaments to remember that these games are played by children following the rules of the sport. Please respect the decisions of the coaches and the officials of the event. Win or lose, please remember the values learned from participating in these events will stay with our children for a lifetime.

Sincerely,
Marcus Jones
SHCS Athletic Director
