Principal’s Message

Dr. Ivan J. Earls
Principal, St. Helen Catholic School

Welcome to St. Helen Catholic School!

As both a graduate and now principal of this community, it is a true blessing to serve the school that helped form me—both academically and spiritually. I was once a student in these very classrooms, and today I have the joy of working alongside our teachers and families to offer that same formation to a new generation of Saints.

At St. Helen, we believe education is not a race or a checklist—it is a journey. A journey of growth, discovery, and formation. Our patroness, St. Helen reminds us that a life of faith is a life of searching for truth, acting with courage, and clinging to the Cross. Her example shapes how we teach and how we lead—with purpose, with love, and with the belief that every step matters.

Our mission is to help every student grow in Wisdom, Age, and Grace, and these values guide everything we do. We believe:

  • Wisdom means every child can learn—with the right structure, support, and high expectations.
  • Age means pursuing excellence appropriate to a child’s developmental needs—challenging them to grow, while honoring the joy of childhood.
  • Grace means forming students to live lives of faith, purpose, and joy—where their learning is always in service of God and others.

At St. Helen Catholic School, we are proudly Catholic in every facet of our mission—anchored in tradition, striving for excellence, and joyful in the journey. Thank you for visiting. We hope you’ll walk with us.

In Christ,
Dr. Ivan J. Earls
Principal

School Advisory Council

The St. Helen Catholic School Advisory Council supports the Principal and Pastor by offering guidance on long-term planning, mission alignment, and the overall well-being of the school. The council serves in an advisory role, providing recommendations rather than governing authority.

Unlike many school boards, the Advisory Council does not manage daily operations or make final decisions. Instead, it works collaboratively with school leadership to ensure St. Helen remains faithful to its mission and positioned for a strong future.
